On March 30th, the Animal Tracks team had the profound honor of being invited by the Jane Goodall Institute to see Dr. Jane Goodall speak live in Pasadena. To say it was inspiring would be an understatement!
Sitting in that room with like-minded people, listening to one of the most influential conservationists of our time share her wisdom, stories, and unshakable hope for the future of our planet was an unforgettable experience for all of us. We left with full hearts, reignited passion, and even more determination to continue our mission.
Dr. Goodall, who just celebrated her 91st birthday on April 3rd, has dedicated her life to protecting animals and empowering people around the world to make a difference. Her legacy is living proof that one voice—and one action—can ripple into global change. We couldn’t be more grateful to the Jane Goodall Institute for inviting us and including Animal Tracks in such a meaningful moment!
And as we celebrate one hero, we also celebrate another: our very own Executive Director, Stacy Gunderson, who turns another year wiser on April 7th. Stacy is the heart and soul of Animal Tracks!
Her deep knowledge of animal behavior, fierce compassion, and relentless dedication have built this sanctuary into the life-changing place it is today—for animals and humans alike.
If Animal Tracks has ever touched your heart, it’s because of Stacy!

We invite you to help us say Happy Birthday to two extraordinary women—Jane Goodall and Stacy Gunderson—by making a donation in Stacy’s honor. Your gift supports the continued care of our rescued animals and helps us keep sharing their stories to inspire compassion and conservation.
Together, we can continue the work these remarkable women have devoted their lives to: creating a better world for animals, and a more hopeful one for future generations.
Keep the World Wild,
The Animal Tracks Team
