We are thrilled to officially introduce the newest members of the Animal Tracks family: Sugar Spice and Caramel Apple, two magnificent pony girls who recently arrived at the sanctuary and have already stolen everyone’s hearts!
Their arrival was a bit of a surprise. Sugar Spice and Caramel Apple were originally scheduled to go to another facility, but plans changed at the last minute and they suddenly needed a safe place to land. When they were left in our care, we didn’t hesitate — and now we can confidently say it was meant to be. We couldn’t be happier that their journey led them to Animal Tracks.
Since arriving, the girls have been settling in beautifully. They’re getting acquainted with Spirit, our rescued horse, and slowly bonding with all of our donkeys. Watching them explore their new environment, learn the rhythms of sanctuary life, and build trust has been incredibly rewarding. Our volunteers have already fallen completely in love with them — and we know our visitors will too!
You can meet Sugar Spice and Caramel Apple right now during your visit to Animal Tracks! While our sanctuary specializes in the rescue, care, and education surrounding exotic animals, we also believe deeply in helping any animal in need. When domestic animals like horses, ponies, donkeys, pigs, or bunnies need a safe, loving home, we do our best to step in rather than turn them away.
For everyone’s safety — and for the well-being of our residents — direct interaction with our exotic animals is not permitted. However, guests are welcome to safely feed and interact with many of our farm animal residents, including our horses, donkeys, piggies, and bunnies. It’s a wonderful way to connect, learn, and experience the joy of sanctuary life up close.
If you’d like to support Sugar Spice and Caramel Apple’s new beginning, donations help cover their rehoming costs, daily care, and long-term well-being — ensuring they can thrive in their forever home.
Come visit us soon to meet these two sweet girls in person. Their story is just beginning, and we’re so grateful to share it with you!
Keep the world wild,
The Animal Tracks Team
