At Animal Tracks, our mission has always been to provide a safe haven for rescued exotic animals while inspiring people to connect with wildlife in meaningful ways. This month, we’re introducing something brand new — Kangaroo Yoga — a unique opportunity to stretch, breathe, and relax in the company of our resident kangaroos.
We created Kangaroo Yoga with one simple vision: to share the beauty and presence of our kangaroos with more people, but in a setting that is quiet, respectful, and aligned with their wellbeing.
What to Expect
Kangaroo Yoga takes place outdoors, surrounded by the natural ambiance of rustling leaves, bird calls, and maybe even a distant howl from one of our other residents. During your session, two of our friendly kangaroos will be free to move around you, hopping gracefully as you flow through your practice.
Every class also features a surprise appearance from one of our other animal ambassadors, making each session unforgettable. And after yoga, guests can enjoy light, plant-based snacks and refreshments.
Our Promise to the Animals
It’s important to us that participants know what makes this experience different. Animal Tracks is a rescue, not a petting zoo. We never force our animals to interact with people, and we never teach them tricks. Our kangaroos are free to do as they please — sometimes that means approaching participants out of curiosity, and sometimes it means keeping to themselves. Either way, their comfort and wellbeing always come first.
Why Kangaroo Yoga?
For us, this is about more than just yoga. It’s about creating a space where people can reconnect with themselves and with nature, while also learning about the importance of animal rescue and conservation. Sharing time with our kangaroos in this way allows participants to appreciate their beauty, individuality, and gentle presence without disrupting their natural behaviors.

Join Us
Our very first Kangaroo Yoga session with Poonam Basu will be held on Sunday, September 7th at 11 AM here at Animal Tracks. Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking in advance to reserve your spot here!
Come experience the balance of wellness and wilderness — and leave with memories you’ll carry forever.
