We have some exciting — and extremely adorable — news to share with our Animal Tracks family!
Two tiny new faces have joined our rescue: PIGnelope and Peaches, a pair of five-week-old Kunekune piglets. These sweet sisters are already stealing hearts with their snouts, squeals, and surprising snuggles!

But their story is more than just cute — it’s one of resilience, survival, and second chances.
Their journey began with their mother, who was rescued from a dangerous fire situation by another incredible rescue organization in Acton, CA. What no one knew at the time was that she was also pregnant. Thanks to swift action and compassionate care, Mama Pig was not only saved — she was able to safely bring her babies into the world.
When we learned about the piglets and their backstory, we knew we had to help. Even though Animal Tracks primarily focuses on exotic animals, our mission has always been to care for animals in need — no matter what species they are. Farm animals like PIGnelope and Peaches deserve the same love, safety, and respect as any kangaroo, monkey, or fox we've rescued over the years.
So, we opened our gates and our hearts!

Since arriving, the piglets have been exploring their new home, getting to know our staff, and filling the air with their tiny happy grunts. Their personalities are already shining through. We’re so in love — and we can’t wait for you to meet them too!
If you’re planning a visit, our Public Weekend Experiences and VIP Experiences are a perfect way to get up close with these little ones and learn more about their story and the importance of animal rescue. And if you’ve never heard of Kunekune pigs before, you’re in for a treat — they’re a small, friendly heritage breed known for their sweet nature and unique look!
Rescue work is full of challenges, but moments like these remind us why we do what we do. Every animal matters. Every life has value. And every rescue is a chance for healing — not just for them, but for us too.
Welcome home, PIGnelope and Peaches!
